Mira Costa Blackboard – MiraCosta College is a public California community college that’s located in coastal North San Diego County. There are two campuses of MiraCosta, the main campus is located in Oceanside, California, United States mainly at 1 Barnard Drive while the San Elijo campus located in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Originally, MiraCosta was recognized as Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College and there were only 16 courses offered in 1934. The 16 courses were counted as credit toward advanced standing at the University of California. The classes were begun at Oceanside High School with 122 students enrolled and 20 faculty members. MiraCosta was the second community college developed in San Diego County.

If other universities offer bachelor’s degree that requires a 4-year study, mira costa blackboard has associate degrees that are the same to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. This degree eases students to continue to a 4-year university or to start working. There are more than 50 different certificates offered by MiraCosta with its short-term training in a specific career area. Students can get the certificates by completing either one or two year-study. Some associate’s degrees and certificate programs offered by MiraCosta are Administration of Justice, Art, Automotive Technology, Behavioral Sciences, Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Business Administration and many others.

Library and Information Hubs are the main resources for students in mira costa blacboard. Both of them can be accessed in both campuses, the Oceanside and San Elijo. There are more than 1,000 networked computers provided for students, Wellness Center at the Oceanside Campus and free tutoring in almost every subject. Moreover, there are more than 1,500 students join in Service Learning Projects related to class curricula. Furthermore, students can join college activities such as College Hour events held during the noon hour that presents cultural events and performing arts with from guest artists and student work, student clubs as well as music, theater, dance, and film.
